Disfear is a Swedish d-beat and crust punk band founded in 1989 in Nyköping by guitarist Björn Peterson and bassist Henke Frykman. Their core sound draws from Discharge's raw urgency, and following early albums Soul Scars (1995) and Everyday Slaughter (1997), the band recruited At the Gates vocalist Tomas Lindberg, whose death metal inflection sharpened their attack on Misanthropic Generation (2003) and Live the Storm (2008), the latter recorded with Converge's Kurt Ballou and featuring Entombed's Uffe Cederlund.
