Formed in 1988 in Feldkirchen in Kärnten, Austria, Typhoon play a technically-minded brand of progressive speed/thrash that draws comparisons to the German thrash movement of the same era. Their 1992 album Take Good Care showcases an ability to blend melodic sophistication with aggressive thrash energy, and the band resumed activity after a mid-90s hiatus with the follow-up A Matter of Time.
Tysondog is a cult NWOBHM band from Newcastle upon Tyne, originally active in the 1980s before reuniting in 2012. They represent the true spirit of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal with classy, Judas Priest-influenced metal, releasing Cry Havoc (2018) and Midnight (2022) in their second era.
