Three sisters from Stockholm, Greta, Stella, and Sunniva Bondesson, formed Baskery in 2007 and created a ferocious blend of Americana, folk, and punk rock that defies easy categorization. Formed in 1990 in Sweden by Stefan Brisland-Ferner and collaborators, Garmarna built their sound around traditional Scandinavian ballads and folk melodies filtered through modern electronics, beats, and loops.
