Alcest
Founded by Neige in 2000, Alcest is widely credited with pioneering blackgaze, fusing black metal's intensity with shoegaze's ethereal beauty from the southern French town of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Their landmark EP "Le Secret" and albums from "Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde" through "Kodama" have defined an entire subgenre and influenced countless artists worldwide.
