DVRK is a French deathcore and nu-metal band formed in 2019. The band fuses deathcore breakdowns with nu-metal grooves and bass music electronics, signed to Season of Mist and releasing their debut EP Infinite Reminiscence in June 2024. The six-track release tackles themes of addiction, depression, and loss, and features collaborations with vocalists from Conquer Divide and Chunk No Captain Chunk.

Eths formed in Marseille, France in 1996 and developed a distinctive metalcore and groove metal sound that drew comparisons to Meshuggah and Tool while incorporating the contrasting clean and harsh vocal interplay of frontwoman Candice Clot. Their 2004 debut full-length Soma sold over 25,000 copies in France on the strength of an extensive 120-date tour, and the follow-up Tératologie (2007) expanded their international reach. After releasing III (2012) and Ankaa (2016), the band announced their dissolution in November 2016.

Kanzler & Söhne is a German crossover act formed around 2015 that combines German-language rap lyrics with nu-metal and groove-oriented rock riffing in the tradition of 1990s crossover. Their debut full-length Durch die Wände appeared in 2016 on Napalm Records, produced by Axel Hilgenstöhler of Thumb, fusing aggressive vocal delivery with heavy, groove-driven instrumentation.

Formed in Slovenia in 2003, though the core members had worked together since 1999, Naio Ssaion play gothic and nu-metal with the distinctive addition of electric violin alongside standard rock instrumentation. Their debut album Numedia (2004) led to a worldwide deal with Napalm Records, through which they released further material. The band's violin-driven sound sets them apart within the gothic metal field.

Skindred formed in Newport, Wales in 1998 around vocalist Benji Webbe, formerly of reggae-metal act Dub War, and developed a hybrid sound fusing heavy metal, reggae, dancehall, and punk that the band termed 'ragga metal.' Their debut Babylon (2002) introduced the formula, and subsequent records including Roots Rock Riot (2007), Union Black (2011), and Big Tings (2016) refined it into one of the most distinctive propositions in modern hard rock. Smile (2023) charted at number two in the UK, their career-best chart position. Skindred are known for their high-energy live shows and the crowd-participation phenomenon known as the Newport Helicopter.
