Sered's Sinners Moon pair symphonic and power metal from the small Trnava-region town since 2017. Their lunar-transgression name channels the celestial light illuminating sin into orchestral compositions from western Slovakia.
Sirenia was founded in Stavanger, Norway in 2001 by Morten Veland, shortly after his departure from Tristania, a band he had co-founded. Veland brought an early batch of compositions with him and used them to build the debut album At Sixes and Sevens, establishing the band's template of gothic metal layered with symphonic orchestration, soprano vocals, choral arrangements, and Veland's own death growls. The band has released twelve studio albums over more than two decades, with Veland handling nearly all instrumental duties throughout. Sirenia remain one of the most consistent acts in European symphonic gothic metal.
Skadika evolved from viking metal origins into a more symphonic direction from Hurth near Cologne, tracing a stylistic journey from Norse-themed aggression toward orchestral grandeur. Their evolution reflects the versatility of the Rhineland metal scene.
Skjorta have been blending symphonic, doom, and gothic metal from Weil am Rhein on the Swiss-French-German tri-border since 2001. Their two-decade career at this cultural crossroads has produced music that draws from three national metal traditions simultaneously.
Vaxjo's Sleeping Majesty merge symphonic death, black, and gothic metal from the Smaland capital since 2018. Their dormant-royalty name channels the slumbering grandeur of unconscious sovereignty into ornate, multi-genre compositions.
Sleeping Romance is an Italian symphonic metal band from Carpi, Emilia-Romagna, formed in 2013 after operating for several years under the name Hybrid Resolution. The project centers on the emotional soprano of vocalist Federica Lanna and the compositional work of guitarist Federico Truzzi, who writes layered, orchestral arrangements in the tradition of European symphonic metal. Their debut Enlighten (2013) on Ulterium Records was followed by the conceptual Alba (2017) on Napalm Records, a narrative-driven work exploring personal growth through darkness. The band thematically centers their albums around the human experience, earning them a following within the female-fronted European metal scene.
Solamnia deliver symphonic power metal from Kouvola, drawing their name from the Dragonlance fantasy setting. Active since 2014, they bring Krynn-inspired grandeur to the southeastern Finnish power metal scene.
Song of Anhubis deliver symphonic gothic metal from the Basque town of Mungia, layering orchestral grandeur over dark themes inspired by Egyptian mythology. Active since 2016, they bring Basque-Egyptian mysticism to the Spanish symphonic scene.
Moscow's Sonno Profondo practice symphonic black metal from the Russian capital since 2021. Their Italian name meaning "deep sleep" channels the grandeur of unconscious depths into orchestrally rich compositions of atmospheric darkness.
