Architects are a metalcore band from Brighton, England, formed in 2004 by twin brothers Tom and Dan Searle, who developed a progressive approach to the genre through technically demanding riffs and socially charged lyrics. Vocalist Sam Carter joined in 2007, and the band rose to mainstream prominence in the UK with albums including All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us (2016) and Holy Hell (2018), the latter a response to the death of guitarist and primary songwriter Tom Searle from skin cancer. They have released eleven studio albums in total, with For Those That Wish to Exist (2021) debuting at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart.
