Wizardthrone
Wizardthrone is a British-based symphonic death metal supergroup assembled in 2020 around Alestorm and Gloryhammer keyboardist Chris Bowes, also drawing members from Aether Realm, Nekrogoblikon, and Forlorn Citadel. Their debut Hypercube Necrodimensions (2021, Napalm Records) combined technical melodic death metal with bombastic symphonic orchestration and science fiction and fantasy conceptual themes delivered with self-aware grandiosity. The project functions as both a serious exercise in extreme metal craft and a deliberately theatrical collaboration between established genre figures.
