Virvum
Virvum was formed in Zürich, Switzerland in 2007 by guitarists Bryan Berger and Nic Gruhn, crafting a style of technical death metal notable for its melodic expansiveness and progressive architecture. Their debut album Illuminance (2016) attracted widespread attention and led to a deal with Season of Mist in 2017, positioning them alongside the leading acts in contemporary technical and progressive death metal. Gruhn's profile rose further through his work touring with Fallujah and opening for Suffocation and Cephalic Carnage.
