Unpure
Unpure formed in November 1991 in Nynäshamn, Sweden around the core of Hräsvelg and Kolgrim, and released their self-titled debut album in 1995 on Napalm Records. The band plays raw, stripped-back black metal with little concession to melody or production gloss, releasing four albums through the early 2000s before returning decades later with Prophecies Ablaze (2023). Their 30-year retrospective Northern Sea Madness: 1991–2021 documents a long and largely underground career.
