Tyrants formed in 2003 in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg, Austria, playing raw second-wave black metal with lyrical themes of blasphemy, mythology, and warfare. Signed to Austrian underground label Black Edge Records in 2006, the band released their debut full-length Black Metal Warfare that same year before eventually going on hold.
