Trial (swe)
Trial formed in 2007 in Trollhättan, Sweden, playing traditional heavy metal rooted in the NWOBHM and classic European metal of the 1980s. The quintet built a following through a series of increasingly refined studio albums — The Primordial Temple (2011), Vessel (2015), Motherless (2017), and Feed the Fire (2022) — before signing with Metal Blade Records. Their sound emphasizes melodic riffing, clean vocals, and songwriting discipline that sets them apart from the retro-metal revival acts of the same era.
