Tauretunum
Black metal band from Vevey, Vaud, formed in 2018 and named after the ancient Roman settlement that once stood on the shore of Lake Geneva near present-day Vevey. Their 2023 EP Mémoires, recorded during the winter in Vevey, draws on Swiss legends, folk tales, and local history as lyrical and atmospheric source material. The quintet—Julian on vocals, Bertrand and Patrick on guitars, Achille on bass, and David on drums—brings a distinctly regional identity to an otherwise globally homogenized genre.
