Skitliv
Skitliv is a Norwegian black-doom metal band founded in Oslo in 2005 by former Mayhem vocalist Maniac (Sven Erik Kristiansen) and Shining vocalist Niklas Kvarforth. The project's name translates from Norwegian and Swedish as 'shit life,' and the band's conceptual focus on nihilism and human degradation reflects Maniac's desire to process his post-Mayhem years and confront personal demons in a darker and more brooding context than his previous work. Signed to Season of Mist, Skitliv remain active as an outlet for Maniac's most extreme artistic impulses.
