Shylmagoghnar
Shylmagoghnar is a Dutch atmospheric black and melodic death metal duo from Zuid-Limburg, formed in 2004 as a high school project between Kevin Bertrand (Nimblkorg) and Coen van der Weerden (Skirge). The band's name was chosen for its otherworldly sound, and the project has always been fully home-produced and studio-only, with the members declining live performance. Their trilogy of albums—Emergence (2014), Transience (2018) on Napalm Records, and Convergence (2023)—forms a cohesive body of introspective, expansive music that has earned the duo a cult following in atmospheric and progressive metal circles.
