Severe Torture
Severe Torture is a Dutch brutal death metal band formed in 1997 in the Netherlands, rooted in the uncompromising heaviness of Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus. The band broke through with their debut Feasting on Blood (2001) on Earache Records, hailed as a landmark entry in the emerging brutal death metal subgenre, and followed it with Fall of the Despised (2005), Sworn Vengeance (2007), and Slaughtered (2010) on Season of Mist. After a lengthy quiet period, the band returned in 2022 with the EP Fisting the Sockets.
