Schelmish was a German Mittelalter rock band from Bonn, formed in 1999 for a birthday celebration and describing their approach as 'heavy bagpipe-punk,' mixing medieval instruments with an energetic punk sensibility. The band released a prolific run of studio albums between 2000 and 2010, including Von Räubern, Lumpen und anderen Schelmen (2000), Aequinoctium (2001), Tempus mutatur (2007), and Die Hässlichen Kinder (2009), singing in German, English, Latin, French, and several historical languages. The group disbanded in December 2012, with several members going on to form the electro folk rock band InVictus.
