Phantasma
Phantasma was an atmospheric death metal band from Košice, Slovakia, formed in 1992 and active until 2018. Their debut album Welcome in Heaven (1994) on Metal Age Productions introduced an idiosyncratic approach that incorporated ambient synthesizer textures and unusual samples into death metal structures, earning the band a reputation for bizarrely creative work within the Slovak metal scene. Subsequent albums including Jazz for Jesus, Jahve (1999), Gospel (2002), and Book of Phantasma (2010) continued to push the band's sound in unconventional directions over a twenty-six-year career.
