Novarupta is a sludge/black metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 2007. Featuring vocalist Jörgen Sandström of Entombed and Grave fame, the band creates crushing, oppressive walls of sludge that build from eerie drone into slow-motion sonic eruptions.
