Midgard
Midgard are a melodic death metal band from Gleisdorf in Styria, Austria, founded in 2001 by a quartet including guitarist Peter Fritz and bassist Jan Zelenka. The band's early sound pursued the Gothenburg melodic death metal aesthetic of In Flames and Soilwork, later incorporating grooves influenced by Bolt Thrower, Benediction, and Hellhammer. They released two studio albums and several demos over a career spanning more than fifteen years.
