Progressive Metal
Manhattan Century are a progressive metal band from Upper Austria, founded by brothers Alexander and Florian Artner, with Ritchie Krenmaier (of Stygma IV) on vocals and Michael Notter on drums. Their debut EP 'APE,' recorded during the pandemic, recounts the story of an early human civilization encountering an all-knowing entity across 25 minutes of dense, concept-driven metal. The follow-up album 'MAN' continues that narrative, addressing alienation and the tension between individualism and collectivism in an overstimulated world.
