Mammoth Storm
Mammoth Storm formed in Säffle, Sweden at the end of 2012 for the express purpose of playing heavy, riff-driven doom, drawing on stoner metal and traditional doom conventions without affectation. The band released their debut full-length Fornjot in 2015 on Napalm Records, followed by Alruna (2019) on Argonauta Records, each featuring lengthy, slow-burning compositions built around massive guitar tones and atmospheric organ. Their straightforward dedication to the heaviness of the riff places them in line with Swedish doom tradition alongside acts like Reverend Bizarre and Witchcraft.
