Intense Degree were a thrashcore and grindcore band from Mansfield, England, who emerged in the mid-1980s sharing stages with contemporaries Napalm Death, Heresy, and Bolt Thrower. The band attracted the attention of BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel, recording a session for his program first broadcast in March 1988, and were notable for their blistering hardcore pace and an unusually prominent female bassist within the scene.
