Fessus is an old-school death metal band from Vienna, formed in 2023, drawing equally from US and Finnish death metal — citing Autopsy, Obituary, Demilich, and Funebre as primary influences. Their debut demo "Pilgrims of Morbidity" (recorded in Favoriten, Vienna in summer 2023) and the live album "Thresholds of Morbidity" (2024) established them quickly as one of the most compelling new death metal acts in the Austrian underground.
