F.P.G.S. is a two-piece experimental black/doom metal project from Bregenz, Vorarlberg, founded in December 2006 by F.P. on guitar, bass, and drum machine, and G.S. on vocals and concept. Their debut album "Am Abgrund" (2008) is a concept record built around the four stages of approaching schizophrenia — Prodromalphase, Exazerbation, Schizophrenes Residuum, and Suizidstadien — mapping the psychological collapse of a young man through bleak, droning compositions.
