Pioneering German romantic dark metal project from Hendungen, founded in 1996 as the first band signed to Prophecy Productions. Led by Markus Stock, Empyrium's extensive catalog from "A Wintersunset" through "Uber den Sternen" set the standard for lyrical, symphonic folk/doom metal blended with neofolk elements.
