Electro Hippies
Electro Hippies were a thrashcore and early grindcore band formed in St Helens/Wigan, England in 1985, notable for including Jeff Walker — later of Carcass — in their ranks. Their politically charged, blisteringly fast material advocated for animal rights and opposed vivisection, with tracks frequently lasting under a minute. The band recorded a Peel Session in 1987 and released a handful of LPs and EPs before disbanding in 1989, leaving an outsized influence on the emerging crust and grindcore scenes.
