Dreft
A West Flanders extreme metal band from Kuurne and Wevelgem active from 1986 to 1993, Dreft evolved from raw grindcore in the late 1980s through death metal and eventually into doom-death, tracing a trajectory that mirrored the broader evolution of European extreme metal during that period. The band appeared on the 1990 compilation Morbid Noise – Abomination 4 and left behind rehearsal tapes from 1988 that document their earliest grindcore phase.
