Drakkar
A speed and power metal band from Jurbise, Hainaut formed in 1983, Drakkar are among Belgium's most enduring heavy metal acts, their first demo produced by Scorpions drummer Rudy Lenners and leading directly to a deal with Mausoleum Records and the 1988 debut X-Rated. The band subsequently opened for Metallica, Queensrÿche, Overkill, and Slayer, and remains active today with albums including Once Upon a Time... in Hell! (2014) and Diabolical Empathy (2017).
