Darkwell is a gothic and symphonic metal band from Innsbruck, founded in 1999 by bassist Roland Wurzer and guitarist Roman Wienicke around what they describe as "the celebration of the dark sensualism." Albums Suspiria (2000), Conflict of Interest (2002), Metatron (2004), Moloch (2016), and Triste Saison (2021) document a long career in the female-fronted European gothic metal tradition, earning the band more than 850,000 scrobbles on Last.fm.
