Melodic black metal project from Sogndal founded by ex-Windir keyboardist Gaute Refsnes, replacing folk influences with classical inspiration drawn from Prokofiev, Grieg, and Rachmaninov. Fellow former Windir member Stian Bakketeig also joined, making Cor Scorpii a vital continuation of the Sognametal legacy on Dark Essence Records.
