Christopher Bowes and His Plate of Beans is the deliberately absurdist solo side project of Christopher Bowes, the keyboardist and primary songwriter of pirate metal band Alestorm and symphonic metal act Gloryhammer. Launched in 2018, the project produced a self-titled debut featuring five tracks of synth-driven electropunk novelty music, with song titles including Medical Emergency and Transcendental Bean Exploration. The project functions as a comedic outlet wholly separate from Bowes' main bands.
