Chameleons

Chameleons are a Middleton, Greater Manchester post-punk band whose atmospheric guitar sound made them one of the most revered groups of the 1980s underground. Formed in 1981, they developed a style that paired Mark Burgess' urgent, searching vocals with interlocking guitars from Reg Smithies and Dave Fielding, creating songs that felt expansive without losing rhythmic tension.
