Burzum
Infamous one-man black metal and ambient project of Varg Vikernes, originating from Bergen in 1991 and central to the early Norwegian black metal scene. The first five albums, recorded between 1992 and 1996, are considered foundational texts of the genre, blending hypnotic repetition with raw atmosphere and later exploring dark ambient terrain.
