Ataraxie has been one of France's premier funeral doom/death metal bands since forming in Rouen in 2000, drawing from the early 90s doom/death scene to create some of the genre's most devastating compositions. Their 2024 album "Le Déclin" on Ardua Music continues a legacy that has earned them comparison to diSEMBOWELMENT, Evoken, and early My Dying Bride.
