Ashwind is a German melodic black metal project whose 2016 release Of Austere Light features five instrumental atmospheric black metal compositions including the fourteen-minute title track. The project blends dark atmospherics with melodic instrumentation, its German-language titles like Einsamkeit Ufer and Verwusten revealing themes of solitude and devastation.
