Animus Noctis is a black metal band from Nettgau in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, active since 2005, whose name translates to 'spirit of the night' from Latin. The band has maintained a two-decade presence in the rural east German black metal underground, channeling the isolation of their small-town origins into the genre's characteristic darkness.
