Angizia
Angizia are a long-running Viennese avant-garde ensemble who blend doom, gothic, and symphonic metal with chamber music and Expressionist literary themes. Albums such as Das Schachbrett des Trommelbuben Zacharias and Das Tagebuch der Hanna Anikin are full-length conceptual works that function almost as dark operettas, using strings, piano, and sung German narrative to tell bleak, Kafkaesque stories.
