Ancient Wrath began in Carinthia before relocating to Vienna, releasing two albums — Darkness Upon the Face of the Depth (2008) and Hymns to the Ancients (2014) — that establish them as a raw, atmospheric black metal band with themes drawn from primordial darkness and anti-cosmic desolation. The band is affiliated with Demonic Arts and maintains a low public profile consistent with the orthodox black metal tradition.
