Altar of Plagues was a seminal post-black metal act from Cork that helped define the style's international evolution from their 2008 formation through their final album 'Teethed Glory and Injury' in 2013. Though disbanded, their influence on atmospheric extreme metal continues to resonate far beyond Ireland's shores.
