Agrypnie are a post-black metal and avant-garde metal band from the Groß-Gerau area of Germany, active since 2006, whose name references the medical condition of persistent sleeplessness. Their extensive catalog, from the 2006 debut F51.4 through the 2018 magnum opus Grenzgænger, spans over an hour of dynamic compositions that shift between fury and melancholy, earning them a devoted following in the European post-black metal scene.
