A Forest of Stars invented "Steam Powered Black Metal" in Leeds in 2007, fusing Victorian aesthetics with psychedelic black metal, folk, and electronica to create something truly unique. Cited as one of the UK's leading avant-garde black metal outfits, their albums from "The Corpse of Rebirth" onward incorporate violins, flutes, and ethereal female vocals alongside the psychedelic madness influenced by Fleurety, Swans, and Pink Floyd.
